• Image of Go Fund Me - Film Project

My name is Pritt Kalsi, and for nearly 30 years I have dedicated my life to documenting artists and pioneers who, like me, create something extraordinary with limited resources.

Since graduating in 1995, I faced many rejections from the creative industry, but I never gave up. Instead, I worked in a factory to self-fund my projects and have even supported other artists along the way—often for free.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to win awards for filmmaking, photography, and music production. However, my computers have now burned out, and I am unable to replace them on my modest salary as support staff in education. I recently applied for an artist development grant but was refused, and I have been working hard to bring my wife to the UK without the help of a solicitor.

I am reaching out to ask for support to update my equipment so I can finally complete a film that I have been working on for 25 years, a project that many in my international network have asked about. The funds will go toward a Mac Mini Pro, a monitor, and an AI account to create vintage stock scenes—tools that will allow me not only to finish this film but also to continue making work independently.

If you believe in supporting independent artists and the stories we bring to life, any help would mean the world. My hope is to screen this film city to city and publish a limited edition hardback book alongside it.

Thank you for reading and for considering supporting my journey.
